The current approach involves the kinetic investigation of Thiobenzamide (TB) and cyclohexanone thiosemicarbazone (CTSC) in solution with 3-chloroacetylacetone(3-CAA). study revealed a second-order rate constant respect to both reactants, thioamide an α-halo carbonyl compound. energy activation (Ea) was found be Ea 48.8176 kJ/mol/K for thiobenzamide 33.08692157 Cyclohexanone thiosemicarbazone. salt effect showed formation ionic species during reaction. reactions were studied changes dielectric using solvent systems like water-ethanol water-isopropanol.

A novel halogenation/semipinacol rearrangement of α-diazo alcohol catalyzed by Lewis base has been developed through a carbene-free mechanism. NHCs Catalyzed Hydrophosphonylation of α-Ketoesters and α-Trifluoromethyl Ketones

N-Heterocyclic carbenes catalyzed hydrophosphonylation reaction of α-ketoesters and α-trifluoromethyl ketones was developed. Under the catalysis of 10 mol% IPr, α-ketoesters or α-trifluoromethyl ketones reacted with dialkyl phosphites to provide quaternary α-hydroxyphosphonates in good to excellent yield.
